Origin of the items

 

The African Touch team travels throughout the African continent searching for the most exclusive art, fashion and decoration accessories.  Therefore, all items originate in Africa. The vast majority of them are acquired from artisans and local traders.

 

New and used items

 

The majority of our products are new. However, we may also provide historic or unique pieces that form a part of local traditions. This fact is expressly stated. Likewise, small imperfections derived from the nature of handcrafted items may appear.

 

Varying items

 

The majority of products are handcrafted. Therefore, there could be small differences in finishes or variations in weaves and decorations of these compared to those showed in the photographs.

You will be able to navigate freely on The African Touch web site in order to enjoy our selection of art, fashion and decoration accessories. However, prior to your first purchase, you should register your personal details and payment method details so that you do not need to reenter this information again.

When the bank confirms authenticity, the credit card will be charged. Otherwise, the order will be cancelled.

 

Invoicing

 

A simplified invoice is issued whenever a purchase is made. The invoice details are those provided by the customer during registration. However, The African Touch provides the option of issuing an invoice by inserting alternative details in the required fields.

 

The prices of products sold by The African Touch include VAT.

 

Purchases performed by individuals or companies and entities from countries outside the European Union are exempt from paying VAT. Tariffs and import duties will be paid at the destination by the receiver of the goods.

 

For this kind of delivery and due to their tax regulations, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla are considered non-EU member territories.

 

The addressee is responsible for all import expenses and taxes charged at the destination’s customs office, whether or not the addressee takes charge of the delivery.

 

Orders will not be sent to post office boxes.

  

Delivery periods

 

The order is processed within hours of the purchase. The courier company will deliver the order approximately within the periods listed below:

 

•  (from 2 to 4 business days) Spain and Portugal

•  (from 3 to 5 business days) France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark.

•  (from 4 to 6 business days) Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Bulgaria, Romania.

•  (from 5 to 7 business days) Greece, Cyprus, Ireland, Malta, Croatia.

•  (from 6 to 10 business days) Non-European Union countries.

 

There could be delays in customs clearance if local authorities decide to confiscate any element contained in a shipment.

 

Special products

 

Orders of more than 5 kg and big or bulky items are subject to additional transportation charges, and the delivery period can vary.

 

Returns 

 

If you are not satisfied with your purchase and wish to return the product, you must return it within 14 business days from the date of delivery.

 

Returned products must be sent in perfect condition, in their original packaging and together with their manuals, accessories or promotional gifts included, if any.

Reimbursement

 

After receiving the merchandise at The African Touch storehouse and checking its condition, we will proceed to refund the full amount paid in accordance with the payment method used by the customer. 

 

You will receive a confirmation email indicating the amount credited to the account.
